Well, I've decided to make an early release for Christmas, my gift to you. Anyway, just FYI for those who don't know already, this has been totally machine translated by myself, I hope that won't be people off, as I have put alot of effort into it. Using infoseek, reading the sentences phonetically, and using an online dictionary to make things more accurate so it was not sloppily done. Anyway, now that I've got that out of the way, it's mostly complete, albeit only the main credit's listing (You'll see why), a few images with JP text in the background, and the games extra's which are mostly the staff room and back staff room are untranslated at this point, but everything else is so you shouldn't have a problem. And, I should have the rest done and complete sooner or later, maybe before or after the new years, although that depends. But, I know you want to stop reading so here's the download and how to play. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy my translation.
Alright, I decided to do another comparison since Nekogoroshi-hen was also with the first season, and I just had to do the ladder scene and a few others for further comparison. Anyway, I'll drop those below so check them out if your interested.
Now, another reason I wanted to check out Nekogoroshi-hen was due to the fact it was drawn in the style of the second season, and thus it should give us an idea on what that release will look like. That said, I'm deeply saddened, because, it's also an upscale, shattering my hopes for a 1080p release. I kinda knew it would be so but I'll hold off on final judgment until I get my hands on the Blu-ray of the second season. Also, notice how some of the details on Keiichi's and the other kid's faces in the 3rd pic, see how the sweat and whatnot is actually visible unlike very faint in the DVD version, I just wanted to point that. Anyway, thank you for checking out out my comparison and you'll find the download link for the images below.
I actually didn't notice somebody put up a 720p raw of the Blu-ray a few weeks ago, but damn does it look nasty. I already knew it was an upscale but I never expected something like this, the DVD looks better for crying out loud. Anyway, to demonstrate the terribleness I took some screenies for comparison, and yes, I chose the best. See below, Blu-ray left, DVD right...
Okay, it doesn't look that bad. Actually better in some places, although barely since they mostly used a sharpen filter and stretched the video. Anyhow, I really hate when you want to see the differences and then you end up having to do it yourself. I mean, somebody should have already, but then again, I doubt much people even cared about the Blu-ray release. But in the end, at least it ain't no Dragon Ball Z orange bricks I tell you that, because we all love anime insanely cropped. Anyway aside from an incoming DBZ DVNR DVD rant, I'll drop a link down below with all the pic's for download if you want them, both separate and together. So, thank you for checking my comparison out, and I hope you enjoyed it.
Yea, I probably should have done this a while ago, seeing that people interested already know and found out on Higurashi's Animesuki forum and elsewhere (Since I put some vid's on Youtube) that I'm working on an English translation for Hou. Albeit, machine translated like Ayanami Raising Project, but I am taking good care with the translation using both infoseek and an online dictionary, plus Google translate to read it phonetically, although I will admit it has gotten choppy at times for me. Anyway, I'm nearing the end of Hou so I guess you could say it's nearly done, although they'll be alot of fixing to do afterwards. But, in the meantime there is a bunch of vid's I have posted on my Youtube channel so feel free to check those out if your interested.
